Whether you’re coming solo or with friends, our Social Kayak events create the perfect environment to meet like-minded people while enjoying a gentle paddle through stunning scenery. No awkward small talk here – shared experiences and natural conversation flow as easily as the water beneath your kayak.
We keep the atmosphere relaxed and friendly, focusing less on formal touring and more on creating space for genuine connections. Our experienced guides ensure everyone feels comfortable on the water, allowing you to focus on what matters – making new friends and having fun.
* The minimum age for this tour is 18
- Check-in ten minutes prior to the commencement of your guided kayaking adventure.
- Meet your guide(s) and other patricipants.
- Our guides will distribute wearable items and instruct you on how to put them on.
- Short on-land tuition will take place where you will learn the basics of paddling.
- Head out on the water and begin your kayaking adventure.Have fun!!
You will need to bring the following:
- Please wear comfortable sports/leisurewear which is appropriate to the weather conditions and that you don't mind getting wet
- Swimming togs
- A wetsuit (if you have one)
- Booties / Old shoes that you don’t mind getting wet (We recommend closed top shoes that don't slip off easily)
- Change of clothes (Just in case)
- Towel
- Suncream / Sunglasses/Sun hat
- Warm Hat /Gloves (For the rare occasion when the sun is not shining)

Please arrive atleast 10 minutes before your designated start time to allow for check-in. If you are late, please inform us as soon as possible by calling us on 087 395 2777.
Full payment is refundable when cancelled with more than 48 hours notice. Reply contact must be made with us to be considered cancelled. Full payment is non refundable when cancelled with 48 hours, or less, notice.
We will meet you at the Mill Yard in Killaloe between the river and the canal opposite the Killaloe Library. Keep an eye out for our bright yellow/green kayaks!
It is very unlikely that you will end up in the water as our kayaks are very stable and designed to keep you safe and dry. This is an adventure sport though and the chance although small does still exist, therefore please bring spare shoes and clothes in case you take an unexpected dip!
We also recommend you do not carry any valuables such as phones which could be damaged if wet, if you choose to carry them, you do so at your own risk.
